TRAFFIC TICKETS start at $50! Whether you have a speeding ticket or driving while suspended or revoked, don’t let points build up on your license!
A simple speeding ticket can result in 3 points on your license. Driving while suspended or revoked or a DWI can result in 12 points on your license.
If you accumulate 8 points in 18 months, the Department of Revenue will suspend your license 30-90 days.
The Department of Revenue will revoke your driving privilege for 1 year if you accumulate 12 or more points in 12 months OR 18 or more points in 24 months OR 24 or more points in 36 months.
Attorney Laurie Dodd can negotiate with the prosecutor to reduce the charge to a no-points, nonmoving violation in most cases.
*Under current Missouri law, a person’s driver’s license may be suspended for failing to timely dispose of traffic tickets.
The suspension will be removed if the person pays the traffic ticket fine, court costs, and a reinstatement fee.
This can all be avoided by calling Laurie Dodd immediately upon receipt of any traffic ticket.
Driver’s License Reinstatements and Hardship Licenses
If your license is suspended or revoked, you may be eligible for a hardship license to allow you to drive, under certain conditions, during the term of your suspension or revocation.
If your license is revoked for five or ten years, Attorney Laurie Dodd can help you petition the Court to obtain a hardship license or to have your license reinstated at the end of the term of your revocation.
Missouri law regarding hardship licenses is continuously changing and can be confusing without the assistance of an attorney.
Laurie Dodd can help you to understand these laws and whether you may be eligible for a hardship license.
